One of the better books I read last year was "Quiet" by Susan Cain. It struck a chord with me, and with most people I recommended it to who read it. Part of the book is about trying to be, or pretending to be something you aren't (in this case, an extrovert).
This morning, back to school, juggling the time table, activities, music, sports, life. And while walking the dog this question popped up:
"Are we so busy being well-rounded that we don't have time to be ourselves?"
and the question's extension - are we forcing this world view on our children?
