test me test me!

If there is only one thing I can be 100% sure of, it is that children constantly change.  Somehow even when you despair of things you can be sure that most of the time it is extremely short lived.  Similarly when you rejoice in something or think you have it nailed - unfortunately.

This time it's good news.  Remember the times tables battles?  Well, he passed that test and then the next one and the next and when it took him only one afternoon to memorize the 7x table (which I'd said was the hardest one for me) he was running round on Monday night saying "test me, test me, do another timed test for me" and even when dad got home he had to get back out of bed for another test.  Kids are the darndest things.  And now he's insisting the teacher does a mid week test for him so he can catch up with the rest of the class with this and all the other maths challenges.
